We, long, as Christians to connect to God AND to others on a deeper level. How many times have you read an article or book or heard someone on radio or TV and what was said made your spirit leap with joy and in your mind you said, ‘Wow, that person went through that and it’s exactly what I’ve been through or just what I feel!” And, for a split moment, you fantasize sharing your heart, your experience with that person.

We all do this! Because, we, as humans have an innate desire to connect with like-minded people who think and experience the very things we do.  Knowing God in a greater way by studying His word can't help but strengthen us and increase our wisdom and knowledge so we can walk this life with greater success, boldness and love.  Meeting up with others who also feel the same is the greatest way to actually experience the love God has for us all.  It's not always easy or possible to meet others at a public building or home to study the Word of God, but now, it's possible to finally connect with others and learn more about God's word at the same time!

Bible Study Basics:  Each Meeting Goes Like This:  (See Preview Bible Study Mp3 Audio above)

#1  Welcome & Prayer - Wayne David welcomes members to the call, delivers any short updates to memberships, introduces any special guests joining us, shares the Chapter for the study. He says a short prayer before we begin    (John 16:13 - But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full truth) inviting the Holy Spirit to help us and guide us.

#2   Lesson - Wayne turns the Bible Study over to Susan who begins teaching a chapter in the Bible for the first 20-25 minutes, carefully sharing and extracting its meaning from the individual verses. Then, sharing a thought or passage, we'll discuss its meaning, and open the lines and ask you to join in (for the remainder of time) to discuss with a question or comment so we get at the crucial issues raised by scripture. Others, as they are led, join in. By dividing the Word rightly we receive the pure meaning and understanding. (2 Timothy 2:15)

#3  Each lesson should fulfill 3 Questions: 1)  What does the passage say?    2)  What does it mean?   3)  What does it mean to me? (how can I apply it personally in real life situations?)

#4   Purpose - We want the Bible Study to help you build a closer relationship with the Lord; experience a feeling of community with others; be a part of an active participation with the body of Christ by sharing insights, interpretation of verses being studied with a lively discussion and then leaving the group feeling warm and strengthened with a sense of bonding, peace and joy.

#5  Closing short prayer - Continue to reflect on what we've studied & how it applies to what is going on in your life.  Studying together is a  powerful way for God to talk to us about the 'here & now.'
